We will reach Mandi from Delhi by night bus then we will start our journey to Gushaini. We drive past Aut and stop there to refresh and rest on the way. The entire route is scenic and the Beas and Tirthan rivers flow along the route.
The necessary permits for the Tirthan Valley hike are obtained on the way to Sairopa. As soon as we arrive in Gushaini, we will immediately start our hike to Rolla. This 9-kilometer route has a path that is bordered by thick forests and beautiful views of the Tirthan River. We will also have lunch on the way. As soon as we arrive in Rolla, we check into our camp, which is located on the river. In the evening you can sit by the fire and have dinner.
We will get up early to see the magnificent sunrise against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Post this, we’ll have breakfast and begin our journey to Shilt Hut. This is a 6 mile hike with some steep sections. Along the way you will witness the Chhordwari waterfall and the bamboo forests. At Shilt Hut you get great panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. We will spend the night here in our camp.
This is the last day of our trek through the Tirthan Valley. We will start our descent from Shilt Hut early in the morning and continue to Gushaini. From there a car takes us to Mandi. From Mandi we drive to Delhi by road. An unforgettable hike ends here.
