Prashar Lake – Himachal Pradesh
Early to rise, went at the top of the lake and enjoyed an alluring photography session at this divine and alluring lake site. Surrounded by so many beautiful views, we can’t get enough of this lake, as this particular spot give panoramic view of the whole valley with Prashar Lake – Himachal Pradesh. One was witness Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar peaks from here. Bounded by mighty Dhauladhar ranges in Kullu Valley, the place is full of mystic charm. It is surrounded by snow-topped peaks. The temple was built in the thirteenth century, and its construction comes under the light of a vague myth. The lake has a floating island in it. Its lush green valleys, interspersed with rivers and lakes offer one of the most scenic and enjoyable traveling experiences.
How to reach :
The distance from Mandi to Delhi is 422 kilometers. If you are traveling by road, many buses run between Delhi and Mandi. If you want to drive by your car, you can reach via Chandigarh. It takes 12 hours to travel by road. The nearest airport is Bhuenthar which is located near Kullu and the nearby railway station, Chandigarh. You can choose any route according to your convenience.
After reaching Mandi, you will have to take a bus which will take you to Baggi village. This is the place from where the trekking starts to reach Parashar Lake. If you want, you can also reach Baggi with a private taxi instead of the bus. In the Buggy, you will find small shops where you can start trekking after breakfast.
By the way, trekking to Parashar lake is not very difficult and it takes 4 to 5 hours to reach the track from Baggi to Parashar lake. There are many villages on the way, then if you feel any difficulty then you can ask the villagers the way to reach the lake. If you want, you can reach Parasar and stay there. If you want you can stay in the tents under the open sky or there are also 2 guest houses of the Forest Department and PWD, at a distance from Lake, where you can think of staying.
